Welcome to the website, https://TulsaCounseling.net. My name is Alina I Morrow and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. I am the owner of Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC, [referred to as “the Practice”] a corporation registered in the state of Oklahoma as a Professional Limited Liability Corporation.

This Website Privacy Policy is separate in its entirety from the Privacy Policy for Clients who have requested counseling, completed the intake forms, and consented to receive counseling/therapy services with “the Counselor.”

Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC (the "Practice”) owns and operates the “Website” https://tulsacounseling.net.

This page informs you of our privacy policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data when you visit the Website, and the choices you have associated with that data collection and retention.

Definitions

The Practice: The “Practice” is the counseling practice Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, a professional limited liability corporation registered in the state of Oklahoma.

The Website: The practice is the owner/operator of the domain and website, the “Website,” TulsaCounseling.net, which presents the Practice to the public.

User, the User: The individual who visits/views the Website online is a User of the Website, for whom this website privacy policy is established.

The Counselor: The “Counselor” of the Practice [Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC] is Alina I. Morrow, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma, License 5106. She is a LPC-Supervisor, a Certified Anger Management Specialist Level II, a Certified Grief Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

Services: Through the Practice, the Counselor is licensed, insured, and authorized to provide counseling services, known as “Service,” or “Services,” or “the Service,” to anyone within the state boundaries of Oklahoma.

Service Inquiry: A “Service Inquiry” is when a Website User contacts the Practice through the Website, with the singular purpose to learn more about the counseling services that are available to him or her from the Counselor.

Client: A “Client” is a User who has agreed to receive Services, currently or in the past.

Personal Data Disclosed by User: The Personal Data Disclosed by User is the personal and private information an individual voluntarily discloses to the Counselor during a “Service Inquiry.”

Anonymous Data Disclosed by User’s Computer/Device, also known as Usage Data is information that is gathered from a User’s device or computer from the time they enter the Website, (TulsaCounseling.net), to the time they exit the Website. This type of information gathering is commonplace website visitor tracking data.

Cookies: Cookies are small, harmless files stored on your device (computer or mobile device) which establishes and manages the communication between your computer and the Third-Party tracking software in use by the Website.

Personal Data Disclosed by User

While visiting the “Website,” online Users have the opportunity to make a “Service Inquiry” in which you provide us with personally identifiable information in order for the Counselor to contact or identify you in response to your Service Inquiry. This information often includes, but is not limited to:

1) Your Email Address
2) Your Name, Full or First.
3) Your Telephone Number
4) The Reasons for your Service Inquiry

Users who freely submit their “Personal Data” are understood to be making a “Service Inquiry.” Often, a Service Inquiry will include sensitive information unique to the User.

Personal Data and sensitive information disclosed through a Service Inquiry by a an individual exploring treatment options, whether they become a client of Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC or not, is considered confidential information by Alina I Morrow LPC-S. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma, she is required to do everything within her power to protect a client’s right to privacy, even when a client is not aware of the potential risks of how their private information could be compromised.

Usage Data – Anonymous Data Disclosed by User’s Computer/Device

The Practice also collects anonymous information on how Users accessed and used ("Usage Data") the Website. This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, other diagnostic data, and demographic information when available.

All “Usage Data” collected on behalf of the Practice, from Users of its Website, (TulsaCounseling.net), is conducted, managed, stored by a Third-Party provider, Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service (traffic monitoring) offered by Google Inc. that records and stores all activity a website User engages in during their time on our Website, but without revealing information that could disclose the identity of the User. How we use Personal & Usage Data

Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC uses the collected data for several purposes:

Disclosure of Personal Data Disclosed by User

We never disclose personal information, sensitive or identifiable, to anyone, anywhere, at any time for any reason. Communication between a client and therapist is considered Privileged Private information, on par with the privacy protections observed between attorneys and clients, priests and parishioners, and journalists with their sources. Only by a court order from a judge can sensitive information be curated and revealed in a setting determined by the court.

Forfeiture of Privacy Protection

By law, a licensed mental health care provider is considered a “mandated reporter” with a legal obligation to disclose to authorities when a client has:

  • made a credible statement they wish to harm themselves,
  • made credible threats to harm others (identified or unidentified, individual or group), and
  • made a credible statement to commit a destructive act against property.
  • Additionally, if the mandated reporter has witnessed abuse (emotional, psychological, sexual, and physical); suspects abuse has occurred in the past; or believes abuse is occurring on a chronic basis.

Under the circumstances described above, a client receiving mental health services has voluntarily forfeited their rights to privacy.

Security of Data

The security of your data [Emails & Text Messages] is important to the Practice but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Counseling Records

Morrow Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC, does not use, condone, or approve of "electronic medical records", which have never been secure, and is a complete fraud to all consumers. The records, notes, and signed intake forms managed by the Practice are kept in a triple-layer secure environment.

Our Website may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
